Q. Who are Champ Golf?

A. Champ Golf is the world’s foremost and largest designer and manufacturer of golf spikes, golf accessories, and cleats, spikes, and traction products and technology for athletic and industrial footwear. Champ Golf is owned by PrideSports.

 Q. Who are SoftSpikes Golf?

A. Softspikes®, the first and foremost name in golf cleat technology and innovation, were invented in 1993 when a winter metal spike “ban” campaign was endorsed by several U.S. State Golf Associations. Wanting to offer golfers an alternative to tennis shoes, Softspikes® co-founder Faris McMullin experimented with various “plug” designs to replace metal spikes. The eventual design, a plastic, fan-like spiral design, became the industry’s first and only patented non-metal cleat. Little did he know at the time that this design would revolutionize the golf industry and change the game forever. Softspikes, LLC is a division of PrideSports which was formed in January 2003 following Pride Manufacturing Company’s acquisition of SoftSpikes® and its sister company, TriSport Ltd. of England. This merger formed the world’s premier golf accessory company as Pride and Softspikes® are the world’s leading golf tee and golf cleat lines, respectively.

Q. Do Tour players wear Champ brand golf cleats?
A. Yes, more than 75% of all touring professionals using plastic cleats choose Champ ® brand cleats regularly in competition.
Q. How often should golfers change their cleats?
A. To maximize your performance, we recommend that you check your cleats after every 15-20 rounds of golf. You just may need a new set of Champ® brand cleats. Most avid golfers should change plastic cleats twice per season. Also, you should note that cleats in certain parts of a shoe wear out faster than in other parts. Keep an eye on the bottom of your shoes to ensure the maximum in traction.
